| Today i woke up to start my day and read from one of the online blogs that one honorable fashion icon has fallen, yet another great man of impeccably taste who's work has inspired the likes of me and thousands of individuals around the world died at the age of 82 after a long battle with cancer which was confirmed by a family member to some media sources. Born into the high society of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on July 22, 1932, de la Renta became known for swathing women in silk-taffeta and chiffon gowns that were praised as pieces of art.
